I
confess that I don't know much about this drum. I'm listing it as a
djembe, but it's not quite a djembe. It's approximate dimensions are 10"
wide x 17" tall. It's African. It's nicely hand carved. The drum head
appears to be goat skin, but it fits loosely. I don't know how to tune
it to a playable condition. I would say it is more for decorative
purposes. I am unsure of the country of origin. I am guessing Ghana
because of the red and black color scheme on the hoop which appears to
be popular there. There is a small area of damage behind one of the
figure heads (pic 1) which could easily be obscured by strategic
placement.
